Hermannsburg Larapinta Drive NT

The Lutheran Church in Hermannsburg.

The ladies choir. Lovely singing in spite of the small numbers of the choir being present.

The guitar playing pastor. Unfortunately the canine attendees at Sunday Mass were all too fast to be captured on camera.

The Lutheran Mission which was set up in Hermannsburg was one of the early towns of Central Australia. It is the birthplace of Albert Namtjira and where he spent most of his life.

The old mission's whitewashed German farmhouse-style buildings have been fully restored and provide a tourist attraction.

These prints of his are for sale.

The famous Hermannsburg strudel in the cafe. It was very nice.
